Our DPDHL Corporate Procurement team is currently looking for an Agile Procurement Expert in the Americas region. In Procurement, we have embarked on a new way of working with an aspiration to deliver extra business value and to make a difference for our business colleagues across the DPDHL divisions. We need excellent talent to work closely with our business and to maximize value creation, while navigating the fast-changing digital landscape! Are you keen to provide end-to-end dedicated expert support and become part of our new Agile Procurement Team in Americas? If yes, here’s what you need to know:

You will implement Procurement Top Initiatives (Focus Plus) project plans and processes to maximize the business value and successfully deliver projects while meeting the cost, timescale and quality parameters in line with overall business objectives and needs, Group guidelines and policies.

Your main tasks will be to:

  • Execute project management plans and processes for successful execution of projects
  • Draft project plans to deliver projects to achieve required quality standard, on time and on budget
  • Instruct and review the output of functional project team or individual project managers
  • Report deviations on project expenditure to adhere to defined project budget
  • Track project milestones, report and update progress and performance against the project plan
  • Recognize and resolve operational problems and minimize delays in the delivery of projects
  • Execute project risk mitigation action plans to minimize projects risks
  • Support implementation of project results to create targeted impact
  • Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research / intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets and establishment of frame contracts
  • Specialize in strategic sourcing of goods and services and transportation capacities in order to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the business / function in scope
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of markets, category trends, suppliers
  • Understand business processes, identify opportunities / solutions
  • Prepare, conduct and support tenders (incl. e-sourcing) with more senior sourcing colleagues
  • Effectively implement contracts
  • Track and maintain accurate data in the Procurement tools: suppliers, rates, contracts, spend, projects, master data
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality

Your profile should look like:

  • Ideally more than 2 years of Procurement experience or has worked on at least 3 large-scale sourcing initiatives
  • Solid knowledge of Procurement systems and tools as well as digital mindset
  • Previous agile working experience and experienced in interdisciplinary as well as international teams
  •  with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Very good knowledge of problem solving as well as project management tools and methods
  • Willingness and ability to travel minimum 50%
  • Fluent in English and shows intercultural competencies
