Position: Assistant Finance Manager
Location: Midlands (Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Buckinghamshire)
Salary: £18,000-£28,000 per annum + excellent DHL Benefits

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

As an Assistant Finance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that you contribute and provide support in the running of a safe and efficient finance function working within clear guidelines to help achieve defined outcomes for the business and the customer.

Key Responsibilities in this role will include:

Provide  financial support and governance
Support solutions to minimise financial risk and improve efficiency, profitability and cash flow
Ensure that changes to financial requirements are communicated and implemented promptly
Work with internal & external partners  / customers to foster collaboration, networking & best practice
Support local business and the associated  initiatives
Support financial strategies, plans and targets to develop existing & new business
Ensure that robust financial process and solutions are implemented and monitored
Support the preparation of robust and accurate  financial reports, models, budgets and forecast  working with other stakeholders
Support improvement programmes to aid  business efficiency and profitability
Ensure financial governance and ethical standards are maintained and communicated
Support financial (& business) reporting & forecasting to aid decision making and monitor progress
Ensure that DPDHL accounting standards & other relevant policies are implemented within own business area
Support the development of financial expertise in the business creating financial best practice
Play an active part in motivating the Finance team

Key skills and experience in this role will include:

Some experience in a Finance role
Strong IT skills
Ideally working towards or interested in working towards a financial qualification
