SPECIFIC ROLE CONTEXT:

The completion of the apprenticeship will equip the apprentice with a sound knowledge of Learning
and Development from the aspect of compliance training.

The role will connect with all departments and all managerial levels.

To liaise & support the team of 12 L & D Specialists in the field from an administrative aspect.

To be supported by the L & D Coordinator to develop the skills and knowledge needed to complete the various administration task.

The apprentice will have full support of the Training Coordinator as a mentor and buddy.

The use of My Talent World will necessitate the contact with the wider business with all departments for
compliance and training.

The role includes working with the team to develop and manage a cost effective training and development
service across the UK businesses.

Travel will be limited but at least once a quarter the role will travel to either Service centre or Team
Meetings held regionally which may require overnight stays.

The role is based in the UK Express Head Office and will be part of the HR Function.

There are several Training Administrator roles: this role profile will therefore apply to those with responsibility for Operations Training, e-learning and My Talent World.

SPECIFIC ROLE CHALLENGES:

The key challenge is to balance the workload and prioritise use of time in order to manage project work and day to day demands of the role.

Once trained provide administrative support for the training and development teams, including document production, supplier liaison, making bookings and diary management.

Once trained provide an informative service to the business, responding to requests and using the appropriate communication methods to escalate queries if necessary.

Co-ordinate with external vendors with regard to training and development activity.

Ensure appropriate records are kept.

Manage the evaluation of development programmes, in conjunction with designers/ trainers.

Develop knowledge of My Talent World to produce reports and answer user queries.
