We are currently seeking a Project Operation Manager SEA to join DHL eCommerce Thailand office!

The Project Operation Manager SEA will:

  • Work with all functions to design and implement domestic operations in focus countries across SEA

  • Support operations teams in existing countries in developing and implementing innovative processes and features that increase customer delight and reduce costs

  • Project manage market entry projects by being the first task force on the ground to understand the market, design operations setup and implement the market launch

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of new market entry projects by focusing on devising and executing operational implementation of Thailand delivery

  • Follow up with other functional teams for task completion and coordinate interdependencies between work streams

  • Gather approvals from global teams for new strategic initiatives

  • Coordinate with x-functional work stream teams to implement key initiatives in existing and new domestic delivery countries

  • Ensure timely and accurate communication to key stakeholders and identify potential delays and risks to project plan

  • Work with SEA operational teams in each countries to identify improvement initiatives and drive alignment and implementation within budgets and timelines

  • Develop SEA setup from an operational perspective

  • Analyze market information to develop operating models, cost models to achieve higher growth

  • Work with local terminal, depot and ops excellence teams to implement KPIs and cost saving initiatives in domestic delivery

  • Develop SEA setup from an operational perspective

  • Coordinate with country management teams to implement key initiatives to drive higher productivity and better quality

  • Ensure incorporation of operational specific requirements in organizational / operational design

  • Contribute to BCA development

  • Coordinate with x-functional teams to devise value proposition and operations strategy

Customers & Stakeholders

  • Ensure accurate and detailed translation of business requirements into system requirements

  • Work with countries and product managers to understand the needs and expectations for domestic & fulfillment business

  • Implement the system changes deployed with help from other functions

  • Closely work with IT teams in regional and global office for fast deployment of new features and changes

  • Regularly and structurally communicate upcoming changes

  • Ensure closely communication with country teams and regional functions about upcoming features

  • Join sales teams for critical large customer discussions for new features deployment

  • Support hypecare teams in smooth implementation of new features

  • Support IT team in managing external IT vendors of DHL

Process

  • Develop end-to-end process and system maps for the agreed concept

  • Create detailed test cases and ensure accurate testing is done by all users

People Management

  • Develop and coach a team of 2-3 specialists the constantly build product features for the region

  • Create strong bench of business analysts and testers from country organizations

Desired Skills / Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in last mile delivery/ e-commerce logistics

  • At least 5 years’ experience in project management

Minimum Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor degree or higher
