Key Accountabilities

Business Performance Support and Business Leads Generation

  • Generate new business leads to Account Managers (e.g. up-selling or cross-selling)
  • Facilitate a unified network and integrated solution proposition during the pre-sales phase, commercializing Trade Compliance as a product offering

Relationship Management 

  • Act as the Single Point Of Contact to the assigned Service Logistics (SL) network customer for IOR/EOR activities, customs brokerage and trade compliance advisory & issues resolution
  • Drive compliance with assigned SL customers' partners and service providers
  • Provide to assigned SL customers consultative advisory services (Trade Compliance /Benefits /Regulatory requirements for import /export of goods eg TA approval, import /export control license applications, duty /tax requirements (VAT, GST), product classification, record keeping)
  • Participate in Quarterly Business Review and/or Monthly Operations review for trade compliance activities

  Performance Management 

  • Define and develop Trade Compliance governance and framework
  • Maintain trade compliance document and tool
  • Drive compliance process in collaboration with other DHL BU - DHLE/DGF/PeP
  • Maintain regional governance framework to drive maintenance of SOP/CWI/documentation to ensure accuracy, currency, completeness and audit traceability
  • Conduct compliance audits on countries on periodic basis or based on customer requirements
  • Ensure the timely distribution Trade Compliance performance/development related to specific regional/network SPL customers, involved service providers and regional/network SPL management.

Continuous Improvement 

  • Define and develop Trade Compliance governance and framework
  • Facilitate Trade Compliance CI programs in various aspects – operations, systems, financial audits in collaborations with Network Operations 
  • Share best practices across countries and accounts
  • Supports process standardization to attain an operating standard model
  • Conduct Process Compliance Audit to drive adherence to SSD/PSD at country levels

Key Requirements

  • Solid understanding of the principles of supply chain management and Trade regulations
  • Good experience in customer relationship management
  • Strong relationship with the customs, country regulatory authorities
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Well developed people management skills; ability to lead and inspire teams to accomplish objectives
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; both short-term/tactical and long-term/strategic
  • Well-structured, change oriented and results focused
  • Internationally orientated executive.
  • Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, Business or equivalent professional certification in Trade Compliance
