Role Profile

  • Provide finance direction and support to APEC Network Operations (country operations & hubs) projects and programs
  • Manage and control the financial and controlling activities associated with Network Operations (country operations & hubs) including Financial reporting   budgeting, accounting policies, investment proposal evaluations, tax & fiscal related and risk management matters in accordance with the group policies & guidelines and local business environment to ensure compliance
  • Provide support and business controlling to Network Operations (country operations & hubs) associated with productivity initiatives, root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions


  • Provide financial and business advice to drive strategic investment decisions
  • Advise the business on financial implications with respect to major changes, such as financial investments,   pricing, costing, systems integration and financial process reengineering
  • Champion cross-functional projects to identify and support appropriate analyses associated with productivity   improvements, and other cost control initiatives
  • Support countries and hubs in Operations/Finance joint projects and initiatives, and lead pilot programs
  • Drive costs, OCPM and HCPP improvements by leveraging synergies with countries, hubs and regions
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reports for internal and Regional Office in  compliance with policies and guidelines, and provide variance analyses, narratives, and recommendations
  • Update management reporting to make financial and operational issues and opportunities more clear
  • Review Balance Sheets and P&L including details, where necessary
  • Undertake key role in annual budgeting, periodic re-estimate, and target setting process
  • Provide support to refine and develop financial tools to improve reporting and analysis of Network Ops costs
  • Ensure implementation of audit recommendations from internal and external auditors and compliance with all   global and regional network procedures and policies by the respective accounting teams.
  • Actively promote the exchange and adoption of Best Practices within the region to leverage collective learning and to improve consistency and productivity
  • Participate in and provide input to the evaluation of business expansion programs, and assist in the preparation of Business Case Applications/Capital Expenditure Proposals.


  • Degree in Accounting / Finance
  • Professional accountancy qualification (CPA or equivalent)
  • 8 years relevant experience in management accounting, financial accounting or cost management with 1-2 years in managerial role, preferably in logistics / transportation industry or multinational companies
