Operations Project Manager
Manage Operations Projects on a day-to-day basis to deliver customised solution, improvements in service and cost performance. Ensure the projects are completed on time, within budget and to specified quality criteria.
Provide support in implementation of programs related to Operations Systems, Ground / Gateway / Hub Operations and Engineering projects.
- Develop and provide application training for users.
Work closely in the beta testing, UAT, roll out implementation of the applications, systems for standardization
Work closely in the Operations’ application implementation of regional and global initiative at a country level
Working with Engineering Department on all Operations related projects.
Report, analyze and take appropriate action on the service performance achieved by DHL for defined customers.
Manage the implementation of service solutions, including coordinating action required outside of the country, for defined customers.
Provide operational expertise to DHL sales and Hub operations personnel in the areas of service capability and operational cost to support the agreement of performance standards and pricing with customers.
Maintain clear communication and work flow channels with DHL sales and segment management in the Country, and especially with the Strategic and Relationship Business Unit Managers and their teams.
Be the principal interface between hub operations and Sales teams, as well as interface between the hub and country/regional customer operations.
Manage changes with consultants & vendors to achieve the service standards.
Work with relevant authorities and industry specialists to comply with safety and regulatory requirements when developing new business processes.
Work with Procurement and sub-contractor to outsource non-core solutions that achieve business objectives.
Participate in regional workgroups and activities
Assist Regional teams in roll out of regional programs across countries.
Bachelor’s degree (preferably Engineering in any discipline with project management certification)
3-5 years relevant business experience, preferably operations management in the Air Express industry
Experience in project/programme management involving multiple stakeholder in a matrix organization
Experience in CAPEX projects (end-to-end)
