Role Purpose
  1. To serve as the Campfire Coordinator supporting the APEC Digitalization Council Chairperson and the Program Management Group
  2. To function as APEC's Design Thinking & Agile Expert
  3. To function as APEC Digitalization Council's Communications coordinator to showcase & inspire digitalization
  4. Education Programs


1) To support the APEC Digitalization Council (Digi Council) Chairperson to shape the region's digitalization agendas
  • to support the Digi Council Chairperson to drive the digitalization agendas to shape the region towards becoming a more digitally ready organization
  • to support the Digi Council Chairperson to coordinate the inner workings of the Council's Program Management Group (PMG) 
2) To serve as Campfire coordinator supporting the Digi Council Chairperson and the Program Management Group (PMG)
  • to work with the PMG, APEC Countries and Functions to identify new digitalization opportunities with potential to bring tangible benefits to the region
  • to work with the project groups and stakeholders to execute proof-of-concepts across APEC and manage milestones for the Campfires selected for regionalization 
  • to support the Digi Council to manage APEC's digitalization prioritization and backlogs
3) To function as Design Thinking & Agile Expert for APEC
  • to facilitate collaboration using design thinking technics, to design experiences to delight customers
  • to facilitate collaboration using agile capabilities to deliver their minimum viable solutions 
  • to facilitate the development of a unified (functionally agnostic) omnichannel engagement for APEC’s customers
4) To function as APEC Digitalization Council's Communications coordinator to showcase & inspire digitalization
  • to coordinate and storyboard DHL Express’ innovative capabilities to showcase in DHL’s Asia Pacific Innovation Center (APIC)
  • to support the PMG to drive the agendas of the annual CEO Challenge
  • to support the PMG to coordinate and distribute the quarterly newsletter
  • to support the PMG to organize and curate content to the larger Digitalization Council
5) To help proliferate the adoption of new digitalization skillsets in APEC
  • to develop educational programs for APEC to harness big data and analytics, and learn new ways of working (design thinking and agile)
  • to develop educational programs for APEC to harness and adopt new skillsets required for the digitalization of the business
  • to coach/guide Campfire project leaders on the application of digitalization skillsets, application of analytics and new ways of work to bring more success to the Campfires
*NOTE: (4) & (5) represents only about 30% of the role's responsibilities

  • Min Degree in Business or Engineering and preferably a post-graduate in logistics process management or equivalent by experience
  • Coding/programming background is a plus
  • 5 years experience in project/program with min 2 years Design Thinking practitioner experience leading actual design thinking projects into fruition; min 3 years middle management experience in either Operations, Commercial, logistics or other and a strong ‘business’ sense to ensure that processes and improvements planned for digitization projects fit with the overall goals and strategy of the company.
  • Familiarity with UI and UX design
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in project/program management
  • Proven track record managing projects 
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills
  • Highly positive attitude with a make it happen collaborative teamwork approach
  • Experience in the Express/logistics industry is preferred 
  • Preferably worked in more than 1 country/market
  • Experience in multinational company preferred
  • Ability to lead, manage, direct and influence a high performing multicultural team, setting and communicating clear plans and performance standards to undertake activities that achieve the region’s Commercial objectives
  • Cross cultural skills with proven experience in working successfully in a multi-cultural environment especially within Asia Pacific to deliver world class results
