Project Support Manager
Position: Project Support Manager
Contract Type: Fixed Term (12 Months)

For the role of Project Support Manager you will be responsible for various elements including project task planning and supervising teams on the Warehouse Design (WHD) project which will be responsible for varied tasks and mini projects to enable the transition process.
Key Responsibilities in this role will include;
To supervise a team on the Warehouse Design (WHD) project
Involved in the planning of various transition events for the Sherburn site
Implement actions as directed to reduce or eliminate health and safety related risks
Ensure the team applies the Safety Standards and relevant guidelines
Implement Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) program on a daily basis to confirm behaviors and processes are followed as specified
Implement and supervise the adherence of up to date processes, work instructions, standard operating procedures and associated forms to achieve prescribed outputs
Continuously contribute to the improvement of procedures to better achieve the prescribed outputs
Regularly update the operational training matrix / plan as required
Liaise with suppliers based on business requirements, monitor performance and where necessary, propose improvements to line manager and implement agreed improvement actions
Adhere to customer requirements in line with DPDHL policy
Support management with resource planning and management e.g. implement agreed processes to review performance, monitor absence and sickness and address issues within clear guidelines
Supervise the use of infrastructure and inspect the working condition to the required standard
Identify and escalate training and qualification gaps and conduct induction and technical training for the team
Within the context of responsibilities set by management, on a day-to-day basis, assign tasks, monitor performance and support the team as necessary
Support the recruitment, appraisal and disciplinary / exit processes and provide recommendations
Conduct performance reviews and coaching with all direct reports and recommend performance ratings to management
Implements transition plans within own area of operation
Implements timely reporting processes and corrective actions for under performance
Communicates operational results
Communicate and engage employees in environmental improvement, First Choice and defined continuous improvement activities
Key skills and experience in this role will include:
Supply Chain experience required
Working within a faced pace environment
Experience working within Resource Planning and Management
Supervise day-to-day performance, including achievement of agreed customer KPIs and other internal KPIs (eg. safety, operational, employee related etc)
Monitor performance of people, equipment and processes and highlight to management areas for improvement
Reporting and investigating incidents within the work place and respond to or escalate issues of non compliance to safety regulations and procedures
People Management Experience
Investigate the risk of business disruptions and implement identified mitigation
Implement feedback channels for employees (e.g. Performance Dialogue boards, daily briefing sessions, EOS) to enable active contribution to the improvement and development of the site
Communicates clear operational objectives
Working with WMS Systems
