IT Project Manager

Job Description:

Strategy

• Support the deployment of IT Project Deliverytools, methodologies and standards.
  

Business Partner

• Build strong working relationships with the Country Business Unit and IT teams;Support the IT Program Leads in leading the project management processes for potential new business;
• Contribution to improving the country business unit P&L through effective usage of IT services and solutions;
  

Project Delivery

• Responsible for managing large IT projects from definition phases through to successful delivery.  Average project size (<€1m);
• IT budget management – control project costs deliver within budget;
• Prepare and maintain the project plan and time scales – control project time-scales, deliver on time;
• Preparation of timely and accurate PMO reports;
• Resource management and development – direction, motivation, training and decision support to project staff;
• Recognize and manage differing skill sets, performance and conflicts;
  

Business Development

• Support project management activity for new business initiatives.
  

Customer / Supplier Management

• Establish productive business relationships with all customers and suppliers as appropriate;
• Implementation of Project Delivery standards in line with global policy;
• Risk Management;
• Change Management;
• Project Planning;
• Project Budgeting;
• Test & Training Management;
• Implementation Management;
• Resource Management.
  

People Management

• Management and development of project resources – ensuring the skills requirements of the project are met and understood;
• Communication – contribute to the effective communication structure in place i.e. weekly / monthly team meetings.
  

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor degree in a business discipline or relevant education and work experience preferably in Forwarding /Logistic sector;
• More than 5 years’ working experience in IT project management;
• PMP/PGMP Qualification;
• Fluent in English (verbal and written);
• Good Project Management Skills;
• Strong Analytical skills;
• Commercial Awareness;
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills understanding;
• Ability to influence and negotiate;
