We are currently seeking a Cross Border Team Leader to join DHL eCommerce Solutions Malaysia!

The Cross Border Team Leader will be responsible to monitor all flight alerts / in-bound alerts and shipments ensuring that information is received on time by the staff and sent to the appropriate locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Service Management

  • Ensure daily contacts with Vendor

  • Respond to tracing requests from the network

  • 100% Process and uplift shipments

  • Monitor all KPIs for the team

  • Good communication and working relations with various department

Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with vendors (Truckers and Freight forwards

  • Interface with local country customer service on service problems and enquiries.

  • Work closely with Regional team

Process Management

Network Control Team Management

  • Lead a warehouse team to monitor the inbound and outbound shipment data to be transmitted on time

  • Ensure that the documentation done by the network control team are accurate, timely and complies with the requirements of the Airline Company and destination.

Network Control Operations Management

  • Organise appropriate shifts and manning levels to meet business requirements.

  • Monitor all inbound alerts and transmit the information to the different section supervisors.

  • Ensure that the assigned MAWBs are based on the bookings done with the airline.

  • Reprocess wrongly declared shipments and follow the requirements of sector destination.

  • Answer all incoming traces and ensures compliance with the network trace response standards.

  • Coordinate cash handling

Network Control Data Management

  • Ensure accuracy of data on outbound flights; ensures data is sent to the different sectors and all flights are logged in the computer database and sent to final destination.

  • Check and ensure documents and materials to be used for shipment uplift are prepared.

People Management

  • Develop a high performance service culture within the functional department. Plan, organize and direct and efficient and effective functional department.

  • Develop IKOs/KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.

  • Consult performance appraisal.

  • Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets.

  • Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department.

  • Must ensure staff productive is at optimum level

Desired Skills / Qualifications

  • Software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Communication skills (English), spoken and written

  • 3-5 years operations or customer service experience, preferably within transportation or logistics industry

  • 2 years’ experience at a supervisory level

Minimum Educational Qualification

  • Diploma (preferable)
