Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Storage

Your responsibility:

- Provide 3rd level incident, problem and vendor escalation for SAN and Storage technologies
- To provide Technical expertise on areas of specialty like Storage Performance, Offsite backup, Storage Virtualization, HA & DR
- Participate on creation of Global Infrastructure standards and keep responsibility for standards
- Apply agreed Global Standards for when deploying new applications or hosting services. Conduct reviews sessions with all Stakeholders and related teams
- Monitor Storage arrays and predict possible problems in storage environment
- Monitor and provide support for SAN (Storage Area Network)
- Work with Global team of Architects in understanding market trends and roadmaps of different and related technologies for efficient working of the ITS
- Internally will work with Database, Middleware and Telecoms team to achieve the best results for Performance Testing or NIA, Capacity Planning and Enterprise Tools testing and deployment
- Key focus is to provide Technical Expertise to RUN services, ITS Cost Efficiency, Infrastructure and Data lifecycle management, Security and Global Standards

Your skills:
From a technical perspective the main areas of expertise covered are:
- Hitachi/HPE XP storage technology
- Hitachi/HPE storage array VSP/XP series, Brocade/Broadcom SAN switches technology
- Storage Management of Tier1 – Tier3 Storage Management (SAN, NAS)
- Replication and Snapshot technologies
- Highly available Metro and Global Cluster Setups for DR
- Data Centre High Availability Clustering Setup
- Storage Management tools
- Knowledge of Databases and Middleware
- Knowledge of OS: Windows, Linux and VMware

Methodology skills:
- Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library
- Knowledge of Global Information Processes Behavioral Skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure when the need arises
- Ability to work in a multi-functional and multi-cultural environment where consensus is paramount

You should have:
- Minimally 4-5 years' experience in an IT operations department supporting business critical systems
- Experience in a large, multi-vendor, computing environment preferable
- Good knowledge of enterprise storage technologies and principles
- Good knowledge of Unix/Linux OS administration, some knowledge of Windows administration
- University degree specialized to computer/technical area is preferable
- English knowledge, communication skills, and troubleshooting/problem solving skills
- Able to take full ownership of issues until resolution
- Strong team player
