Sr. Manager Real Estate Transaction Management
Responsible for applying transaction management knowledge, research skills, tools and techniques to conduct real estate transactions (i.e. renewals, relocation, terminations and new leases) for facilities in the US and Canada. Review lease documentation and provide comments and recommendations to the business and legal department.
Provide leadership in continuous process refinement and optimization of existing processes. Support innovation and development of new tools and materials to support the overall business strategy in real estate matters.
Establish productive business relationships with all levels of customers, business partners (brokers) and landlords. Responsible for building business unit relationships, accurately setting and meeting expectations. Perform market analysis to benchmark and justify the economics of leasing transactions.
This position will potentially oversee a team of 1 or 2 Transaction Managers so the employee will be responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff. Assign work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management process.
Responsibilities also include: (1) supporting the preparation of BCAs; (2) the tracking of rebates/commission sharing offered by external brokers and (3) work closely with the Asset Management team to prepare and/or review lease abstracts and to ensure that all leases are entered into CoStar/Virtual Premises.
Requires BS/BA in related discipline and 10+ years experience in related field.
Professional certification required in some areas.
RE License is recommended.
Language: Excellent verbal & writing skills in English. Spanish is desirable
