YOUR TASKS:
SUMMARY:
  • Implement and manage the Global Sales Improvement Program at a country level, while ensuring adherence to Regional and Global standardisation and reporting requirements.
  • Manage DHL PH driven Integrated Demand Generation (IDG) Programs / Campaigns for both internal Sales and external Customers.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
Head of Commercial
  • Provide effective consultancy and advisory support to Commercial team to analyse, plan and implement necessary sales resource requirements of the AP Sales programs as well as the IDG programs.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Head of Commercial/ SPD Manager.
  • Keep DHL Regional and Local Management up to date on relevant Regional Sales program development within the country.
  • Country Sales Function
  • Support all Sales segments of the business i.e. National Customers, Relationship segment, Direct Sales segment, Multinational customers, Global Customers Solutions, etc
Regional Office (Regional Sales Development Managers, Segment Directors, Sales Support, Training staff)
  • Managers, Segment Directors, Sales Support, Training staff)
  • Keep DHL Regional and Local Management up to date on relevant Regional Sales program development within the country.

Country Sales Function

  • Support all Sales segments of the business i.e. National Customers, Relationship segment, Direct Sales segment, Multinational customers, Global Customers Solutions, etc
PROCESS:

Standardisation – Process, Tools, Technologies, Policies, Measures

  • Standardise the Regional Sales Training Guidelines, Regional and Global Reporting requirements, Sales Recruitment Standards and Sales Targeting and Measurement.
  • Ensure adherence to Global and Regional standardisation policies to ensure the Sales Processes and Systems are aligned across the region and globe
Implementation of Sales Capabilities Enhancement Programs
  • Ensure that the Sales programs are properly implemented and are robust enough in their execution to ensure the programs are successful and sustainable (full responsibility for the success of the Sales programs within the country)

Periodic Reporting

  • Ensure monthly Reporting requirements are adhered to for both Country and Region.
  • To assist in Regional led Sales Audits.
Peole Management 
  • Develop and manage good cross-functional relations in order to manage accountabilities
  • Develop a high performance service culture within the functional department.
  • Plan, organise and direct an efficient and effective functional department.
  • Develop IKOs/KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.
  • Conduct performance appraisal.
  • Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department.


YOUR PROFILE:
  • Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, resourcefulness and empathy.

  • Well-developed relationship skills and ability to network with multiple levels of an organization and other business units.
  • Degree in Business, Statistics or Economics (or related discipline)

  • Software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) (advanced)
  • Presentation skills (excellent)
  • Competent in MS Access (preferred)
  • Excellent understanding of Sales processes and ideally a background in actual selling as well as an understanding of IT systems
  • Prior selling experience in a service industry is highly preferred
  • Experience in dealing with Country Management at Senior levels and successfully implementing change in order to facilitate successful implementation of change programs
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in delivery to all levels of stakeholders
