We are currently seeking a Sales Manager, India to join DHL eCommerce Asia Pacific!

The Sales Manager, India will be responsible to lead and drive revenue growth across India and ensure profitability is maintained through sales team across India. The Sales Manager, India would have a strong understanding of market movements and trends, and hence be able to identify strategic opportunities, while representing DHL eCommerce in industry circles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Commercial Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage customer account and opportunity plans of the country sales channel.

  • Drive customer account growth, retention and renewal of contracts through continuous improvement of service quality and sales performance management.

  • Develop sales strategy and set direction for business growth into new and existing customers through up-selling and cross-selling.

  • Deliver customer-focused service offering and ensure there is common understanding of service expectations and solutions.

  • Plan and coordinate sales activities to retain and develop sustainable sales revenue.

Country Management

  • Provide effective reporting of all activities to the Country Development Manager.

  • Provide country-specific knowledge and participate in industry related strategy setting.

  • Assist in the development of customer strategy to secure new businesses.

  • Develop working relationship with the relevant support sections e.g. Finance, Commercial, Operations to ensure they are kept up-to-date with all issues relating to customer accounts.

  • Strive to deliver industry ‘best-in-class’ sales competence which include harmonised process for competency development, selection, recruitment, induction, objective setting and any other sales related activities.

  • Work closely with sales team to implement CRM system to drive efficiency and transparency of sales performance, collaborate with the CRM Manager AP to implement a CRM automation system.

  • Identify, establish and manage multi-tiered relationships across customers and DHL to ensure long-term business partnership and achievement of corporate goals.

Team Management

  • Develop a high performance service culture within the functional department.

  • Develop KPIs with team members, monitor individual performance and provide timely feedback and appraisal on performance.

  • Manage allocation of appropriate resources to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets.

  • Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department.

Desired Skills / Qualifications

  • Min. 10 years of sales experience

  • Min. 5 years’ experience of managing sales team

  • Strong Supply Chain & Logistics Knowledge

  • Prior exposure to market places & other industry sector development

  • Fluent (written / spoken) in English

Minimum Educational Qualification

  • Degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing or Logistics / Supply Chain

  • MBA will serve as added advantage
