Job Summary:

To manage the project for Cargowise Implementation by ensuring that objectives and milestones are met in accordance with company objectives and budgetary requirements. This includes creating a project plan with milestones, health checks, identifying key stakeholders and clarifying their role in the project.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and update the project plan in accordance with Global standards

  • Establish meeting schedule to ensure the project stays on track and regular health checks established throughout the timeline leading up to go-live

  • Communicate role clarity and responsibilities with key stakeholders on the team

  • Responsible for ensuring Change Management initiatives are part of the project plan

  • Escalates problems or concerns that could jeopardize the deliverables in timely manner to minimize the impact

  • Identifies risks and communicates to necessary decision makers to ensure risks are contained and managed in a proactive way

Minimum Requirements (Education, experience and skills):

  • Post-secondary degree

  • Six sigma certification or lean methodology experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in related field

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills in particular, Exel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong communication, analytical, & administrative skills to ensure stakeholders know what needs to be done and are able to meet key deadlines

  • Experience in leading meetings and facilitating training.

  • Very good organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow up regularly

Physical Requirements:

  • PC Use

  • Primarily a sedentary position

  • Travel would be minimal but some visits to other locations in Canada are possible
