Our Innovation and Trend Research team is part of the global Innovation Center program at DHL, with locations in Cologne/ Troisdorf, Singapore and Chicago. Our Innovation Centers engage with DHL’s largest customers and innovation partners to explore, develop and commercialize innovation.
Within our Innovation & Trend Research team you will be responsible for initiating and driving innovation projects that accelerate DHL’s digitalization agenda and strengthen our relationships with key customers and partners. In this Innovation Manager role:
 You’ll be expected to deliver each innovation project to target on cost, resource and time. A large part of your role will be hands on, working closely with DHL operations, innovation partners and customers to manage the project.
 You’ll manage customer and startup engagements including identifying the leading startups of given technology fields.
 You’ll be responsible for driving our innovation activities and pilot projects, from ideation to implementation, in supply chains across multiple industry verticals.
 You’ll build long-term partnerships between customers, operations, and other support teams
 You’ll align internal resources and coordinate cross-functional teams to create an Innovative solution for current or future customers – delivering on our promise to be The Provider of Choice

 Inspired, open-minded and outgoing in character with a passion for innovation and new technologies with preferably experience working in or with start-ups
 Excellent university degree, with 1-3 years of professional experience in a related field, preferably with a background in engineering or technology
 Fluent in English with excellent communication and writing skills; German language skills would be an advantage
 Excellent project management and interpersonal skills with high self-motivation and ability to work independently in an analytical and structured manner
 Good communication skills with the ability to communicate a complex idea in a simple way and encourage people to adopt ideas
 Ability to assess business cases and business processes with a talent for identifying innovation opportunities
