Job Description

This role leads the continuous improvement strategy and execution for transportation solutions, as well as develops and owns data analytics to support continuous improvement and quality functions within transportation.  Creates and communicates continuous improvement process, tools, strategies and tactics, and ensures the implementation of standard continuous improvement and quality systems for all transportation customers.

        Responsible for defining, developing, implementing, and managing the stage gate process for the implementation of transportation and/or process based continuous improvement projects from opportunity identification through delivery/stabilization across all pillars of Trans Solutions Business.

        Develops, maintains, and executes the CI roadmap that aligns with strategy of Trans Solutions, accounting for both internal and external process and financial improvement.

        Owner of the Business Intelligence strategy, BI tool kit, and all training and qualification of all BI tools.

        Owner of the OTM and system roadmap, and liaison to the IT department related to strategy of technical solutions.

        Owner of the Order to Cash process, standardized systemic and operational solution for Trans Solutions.

        Direct relationship to Business Development at senior levels, helping to structure the approach to what business we pursue, as well as getting CI in front of the customer to help differentiate our business from competitors.

        Direct leadership and management of non-operational support functions within Trans Solutions (QA, CI, Integration)

        Utilizes network modeling tools (JDA-I2, Appian, etc..) to overlay MT customer networks to identify network driven cost and service improvement opportunities. Understanding and competence in ILD Cost Model.

        Owns and shapes the training curriculum and career path of all TS analysts/CISA.

        Owns the MT 100 score performance mechanism across TMCs, both change documentation and accountability of business. Owner of the Executive Dashboard, and holds GMs and Directors accountable for accurate and timely reporting.

        Leads the quality function within transportation, ensuring work instructions and processes are defined and followed.

        Directly accountable for the CI project start up budget, timeline, and stabilization metrics on new and existing business, and across pillars of business.

        Develop and updates the COO (Concept of Operations) for new business pursuits working with the MT Steering Committee, the TMC operations, and MT carrier management, and the MT solutions director.

        Has competency to present the COO at a customer Solution Fit meeting.

Required Education and Experience

        Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

        MBA or MBLE

        8+ years' experience in Transportation

        Strong analytical network design capabilities; able to review control reports and discuss with ILD the appropriate transportation analysis required to develop a customer business case

        Familiar with TMC operations and how OTM is deployed and can use practices / processes across all TMC operations to develop a viable COO

        Exposure to several accounts, business units, and understanding of entire business.

        Broad understanding of Transportation Operations

        Strong influencing and negotiating ability (sphere of influence)

        Financial acumen and understanding of business drivers

        Expert level in MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio

        Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

        Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, and to establish and manage own work schedule / weekly activity
