DHL Express Hong Kong and Macau is now looking for applicants for the position of Vice President Human Resources, Hong Kong and Macau, to lead the HR function by providing HR management advice and expertise in order to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of HR in achieving business.Reporting to Senior Vice President & Managing Director, Hong Kong and Macau, the role is to provide a broad range of HR strategy to support the management in developing a positive leadership style and skills to strengthen DHL's position as an employer of choice.Ensuring that all HR activities and programs are implemented in accordance with global HR strategy and guidelines as well as current and long term local business objectives is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Study labour market and wage trends, various relevant government labour legislation from time to time and ensure DHL awareness and compliance with the law. Align internal policies accordingly

  • Design, maintain company mechanism to collaborate with employee organization groups and proactively manage to ensure a harmonious working environment, personal grievance costs and issues are minimized

  • Identify and maintain a succession plan for all key positions. This will include planning and implementing appropriate development and retention program for key individuals identified in the Plan

  • Recommend to company senior management team about company compensation philosophy tailored to business requirement, develop, adjust company compensation and benefit programs under guidance ofcompany compensation strategy and global / APEC policy, so to attract, motivate and retain talent

  • Manage the design of adequate T&D programs including identifying training needs, initiating and developing customized courses and development plans that will enhance the effectiveness of employees’ business knowledge and technical skills for optimum performance, aligned to the strategic direction

  • Manage Employee Relationsand Occupational Health & Safety program

  • Carry out the annual Employee Opinion Survey to measure staff morale and organization climate, then develop and implement effective strategies and action plans to improve target areas determined

  • Achieve productivity through HR Metrics and Strategic Reporting Tool

  • Design and control budget plan of human resources function based on company business plan. Manage the HR cost effectively

  • Develop a culture of quality, service excellence (for internal customers), flexibility and cost consciousness




YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration / Human Resources; a Master degree will be an advantage
  • Professional HR affiliations (HR Institute of Management or equivalent)
  • 20 years of relevant HR experience with at least 5 years in a senior management role, preferably in MNC
  • Mastery of technical HR competencies in change management, recruitment, C&B, training and employee relations
  • Good knowledge of HK Employment Ordinance, Laws and job market practices
  • Strong leadership competency with Respect and Results focused attributes, and with proven record of strong active leadership and employee engagement results
  • Capable to shape direction and navigate the team to achieve functional and company goals, and be able to take a holistic view and manage stakeholders within or outside the network for the better interests of the Company
  • A proven change agent, with sound experience in initiating and implementing changes to drive for high performance and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills and proven ability to communicate with top management at both country and regional leve
  • Language proficiency:English (both written & spoken) and Cantonese / Mandarin, preferably Cantonese
