Manage the acquisition, management and disposal all facilities, site acquisition and leasing of space of airports. Review lease document language for administrative/liability problems. Establish productive business relationships with all levels of customers, business partners and vendors. Responsible for building business unit relationships, accurately setting and meeting expectations. Provide business partners with a proactive, knowledgeable point of contact and communicator for key real estate issues. Act as Subject Matter Expert by providing guidance and recommendations to internal departments concerning airport operating environments, market conditions and relevant political and policy issues.


·Negotiate agreements and obtain requisite internal approvals for airport facility leases and airport operating agreements with various entities controlling airport property and make recommendations concerning leasing strategies to DHL Staff and Senior Management.

·Acts as a main liaison between Airport authorities and DHL operations for ramp usage to support scheduled and ad hoc aircraft parking.

·Interface with airport staffs and third party developers to respond to external questions and requests for information.

·Work with airport police staff and TSA to ensure compliance with regulations and to mitigate any fines resulting from security breaches or violations.

·Manage option renewal dates and lease expirations to ensure timely execution of lease renewals and renegotiations and to allow time to create leverage opportunities with existing and future landlords.

·Maintain close contact with DHL Operations and local operations staffs to maintain optimal ramp sizes to support current and future schedules.

·Review leases and operating agreements and coordinate reviews and approvals with internal departments such as legal, risk management, treasury and operations and communicate with other groups within DHL as necessary.

·Represent the interests of DHL with airports and/or other airport tenants to discuss airport facility lease and use issues, airport infrastructure development, operations and maintenance, airport financing and rate making methodologies and other issues that impact DHL operationally and/or financially.

·Provide voice for contract airlines and trouble shoot on issues affecting their ability to provide service to DHL as needed

·Respond to requests for information and assistance from internal departments and represent DHL’s contract airline partners as required to support DHL’s operation.

·Work with internal departments to comply with various airport reporting, remittance and related contract compliance issues including periodic annual facility and environmental audits variable activity reports, and billing/payment procedures.

·Coordinate various internal DHL departments and outside contractors to accomplish lease assignments, render timely invoice payments from appropriate departments and fulfill other obligations in to support DHL’s operations.

· Act as Subject Matter Expert by providing guidance and recommendations to internal departments concerning airport operating environments, market conditions and relevant political and policy issues.


Enable / Implement / Ensure CRE services. Provide CRE service and support to specific business area(s) of medium scale/ complexity e.g. Cluster or cross-business

·Ensure CRE service delivery, process improvement, change implementation of financial changes

·Handle and resolve complex and more difficult CRE issues

·Manage service relationship with specific business unit/ area for range of CRE services

·Develop CRE solutions that reflect best practices and work across multiple business areas/ geographies

·Focus on ensuring positive business impact of CRE within own area

·Provide consulting on CRE matters to senior business team, drawing on specialist colleagues as needed

·Manages and accountable for the financial performance of a business area, ensuring that their teams have in place the systems required to manage costs, revenue and profitability in line with market opportunities

·Adapts their own communication style, approach, level of message and choice of media as appropriate to reflect the needs of a wide variety of audiences and situations, and help their teams to do the same

·Knowledgeable in main products, services and business processes of their key business and basic knowledge of all other divisions

  • Relevant University Degree e.g. in Business, Architecture, Engineer, or Real Estate related field

  • Membership in Professional Real Estate Institutions preferred, e.g. Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors

  • Bilingual: English/ local language as needed

  • 5-10 years of relevant Commercial/ Corporate Real Estate experience (Developer, Property Leasing Agencies, Brokers, large corporations In-House Real Estate Specialist)

  • 1-4 years leadership experience (staff or vendor leadership)
