The Supervisor of NCG ULD Control / Fuel Procurementoversees a team responsible for ensuring the delivery, compliance, and tracking of ULDs within the Americas operational network, as well as assisting with Company fuel procurement duties. This position will be responsible for working in coordination with the NCG group to execute the policies and procedures necessary to manage the ULD inventory within the Americas network of hubs, gateways, and stations. He/she is also responsible for supporting the Fuel Procurement Team to assist with functions of the fuel procurement and into-plane fueling functions in the Americas Region. He/She will work to ensure both fueling and ULD meets Company operational needs and requirements, and is executed in an organized, efficient and safe manner.
Monitor ULD needs for nightly CVG Hub Operations
Monitor ULD balance and allocations for Americas ULD Network
Manage a team of 12+ direct reports
Update and track ULD movements via Linehaul and flights in RUM as needed
Coordinate/communicate with vendors and station personnel regarding ULD status
Ensure compliance with established DHL policies on freight movement
Monitor daily ULD allocations to ensure service levels are achieved
Produce and publish daily reports regarding ULD staging and setup to be provided to internal customers
Monitor station stock-check performance and recommend actions for compliance failure
Negotiate rates with vendors for ad hoc truck movements
Respond/action general ULD inquiries and requests from DHL and ACS personnel and vendors
Provide contingency options to recover distressed ULDs with minimal service impact
Develop a thorough understanding of Air and Linehaul networks
Understand and leverage informal networks to accomplish tasks and goals.
Accomplish additional duties as assigned
Monitor the daily into-plane fueling activities in the Americas Region.
Coordinate / communicate with fuel suppliers and into-plane vendors regarding fueling operations and follow-up when needed.
Update and monitor the Fuel Management system.
Produce and publish fuel reports for internal customers.
Assist in the development of a Fuel Procurement strategic planning process for the Americas Region.
Update the Fuel Tender system and produce reports for the fuel tender process as required.
Provide analytical support to Procurement Management team.
BS/BA degree preferred.
Minimum of 3+ years experience in Hub, transportation, or logistics operations management.
- Experience with jet fueling operations preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required, as well as exceptional ability to multi-task detail oriented items.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office required
