ROLE PURPOSE:

The Talent Development Specialist will partner with the learning and talent development team to create, analyze and promote innovative and high-impact talent development programs and initiatives. This role will support talent development strategies that are designed to further motivate, engage, retain and educate our high performing workforce, including annual development reviews, succession planning, career counseling /dialogues, career paths, training and more.

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

Formulation of Talent Development programs matrix, evaluation and measures including

  • Assist in the creation of the development programs competency models to include measurement, validation, and assuring clarity for all talent pool employees of what high performance is.
  • Participate in the analysis of talent assessment and talent audit data so to support decision making process and programs refinements
  • Ensure quality and sustainability of talent development initiatives by implementing related KPIs and constant interactions with HR and manager stakeholders
  • Test and evaluate the Succession Planning Build bench strength and talent pipeline  Talent Reviews and evaluate the Talent and career development grids
  • Collaborate with the team to provide focus on areas for employee development assessment and reviews, development plans, succession, development, talent identification and measures to retain top talent within DHLE-UAE
  • Work with mangers on the development plan for employees currently engaged in disciplinary or performance improvement review and monitor the progress
  • Maintain data and reporting on talent development cycles, Monitor the implementation of relevant policies, guidelines, metrics and systems, monitor, evaluate and report on initiative’s investment and assess efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.
  • Supports the ongoing digitalization as well as off-line associated process of talent pooling, succession planning, development centers, learning & development, and career path mapping; and report on a regular basis the status/progress of these work-streams
  • Take initiative on identifying key talent based on assessment outcomes and working with the team in mapping those employees

Execution of Talent Development programs: (Including leadership development milestones programs, accelerated development programs, compliance monitoring, and programs enrollments)

  • Participate in the design and deployment of key Talent Development curriculums and initiatives, including leadership development and accelerated development programs, learning communications, and special projects. (Instructor-led and alternative delivery media [eLearning, video, etc]).
  • Launch a professional/career development plans per function/role and make necessary modifications for continuous plan improvement.
  • Participate in setting up, aligning and implementing career paths including all related systems and easy access to information for all stakeholders
  • Participate in the design, monitor, evaluate and continuously improve career development initiatives, succession planning and career mobility programs.
  • Coordinate talents programs, development centers , assessing and developing career / development plans for high potential talent and talent pools
  • Participate in the development of Talent development guides to managers and stake holders including the selection of Assessment Tests, Competency Modeling and Evaluations

  • Participate in the development of Talent development guides to managers and stake holders including the selection of Assessment Tests, Competency Modeling and Evaluations
  • Partner with the learning and development team to execute financial and budgetary activities and ongoing CIS/CIM programs delivery and budget management
  • Partner with the learning and development team on conducting the Training Needs Analysis (TNA), programs, design, logistics, delivery, evaluation and follow-up
  • Review evaluations of training courses, objectives, and accomplishments. Identify/incorporate lessons learned and best practices into program plans.
  • Develop learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides, and lesson plans.
  • Work with Line Managers to create a library of relevant courses on LMS for their respective teams and support manger in the internal talent identification within own team, assessment and succession planning processes, and create individual development plans
  • Leverage the LMS to support new and on-going learning initiatives and projects; analyze usage; lead communications and training for staff and monitor and analyze user utilization and trends using LMS data.
  • Develops training and development metrics and present on findings using a variety of data visualization techniques
  • Proactively partner and communicate with learning and development team to understand the regional/global training opportunities and secure DHLE-UAE participation and stay aware of updates on opportunities and initiatives
  • Use instructional design principles to research, assess, design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning solutions for staff.
  • Manage the evaluation process for all learning including quarterly reporting on learning events.
  • Provide facilitation for organization-wide in-person courses and team development sessions for staff as needed.

Talent Development internal communications and marketing initiatives

  • Partner closely with Marketing & Communications team for all talent development communications needs including drafting messages, contributing to communications strategy, sending and tracking communications with support from other team members
  • Promote career development solutions and learning tools (writing papers, communication, etc.)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years proven successful experience in the field of career development,  learning and development, training, talent retention, and professional talent development programs with 2-3 years in developing, delivering, and implementing formal training programs is required
  • Certification in various assessments Talent Development or L&D Certified assessor of psychometric tools (I.e., OPQ,MBTI, CCL assessments, EQ-I 2.0, etc.) Preferred
  • Certification in Situational Leadership II and Franklin Covey learning content is preferred
  • Degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior or Industrial Psychology is an added advantage
  • In‐depth knowledge of career counseling and demonstrated success managing career development centers
  • Proven experience developing learning programs for employees at all levels with an emphasis on using multiple learning modalities to deliver learning solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to handle a wide variety of tasks - Proven ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing) with all levels of employees and managers
  • Capability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
  • High Integrity and Discretion for sensitive information in addition to Analytical Thinking  and Scenario Modelling
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories, curriculum design, needs assessment, and evaluation methodology
  • Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience building course content, conducting classroom training, assessing training effectiveness, and building/leading courses that are focused on building skills and capabilities. This experience is grounded in Instructional Systems Design.
  • Excellent time and work load management skill, ability to prioritize, ability to work independently, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and meeting established deadlines. 6. Enthusiastic and positive attitude
    Strong written, verbal, presentation & persuasion skills required
  • Proficient in MS Word, Power Point and, Excel
  • Business proficiency, written and spoken, in English.
  • Current UAE Driver’s License (Preferred)
