We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join DHL eCommerce India!

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for ensuring the quality of service and business growth with large eCommerce customer and sales associate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Service Management

  • External

    • Large eCommerce Companies in North India for Outbound business (a defined portfolio)

    • Provide customer oriented service at all times relating to specific sales issues.

    • Provide support to escalated issues, develop prevention and resolution for key customers

    • Facilitate the provision of solution management, account management and enhancement that meets and exceed customers’ expectation

    • Responsible for preparation and delivering meetings with customers.

  • Internal

    • Work with operation team to resolve customer-related issues,

    • Responsible for business and profitability growth

    • Provide valuable information to senior management for their strategic direction

Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Product Management, Pricing and Sales Program Management and Operation team on sales proposals and delivery of quality services

  • Identify and develop potential, sustainable customer relationship to the growth of new opportunities

  • Actively promote the exchange and adoption of “Best Practice Sharing” within country to leverage collective learning and to improve consistency and productivity

  • Ensure a high morale and high level of motivation is maintained at all time.

  • Continually review and improved business processes to increase productivity and value.

Sales/Customer Account Development – Planning and Follow Up

  • Formulate a personal sales plan that incorporates initiatives for identifying and gaining new business prospects and maximises growth within the existing client base to achieve personal sales results.

  • Promote DHL Advantage programs and solutions to the assigned list of accounts

  • Display strong skills in certain customer analysis to ensure that all customer requirements are being fulfilled.

Margins/Profitability Assurance

  • Establish and implement a pricing review timetable that ensures improving margins from listed accounts.

  • Adhere to regional standards on profit margins and discount guidelines

  • Ensure the customer agreements are cost sensitive to ensure a suggested minimum pricing tariff is set and adhered too.

Sales Team

  • Ensure co-operation with other members of the sales team and throughout the sales force

Desired Skills / Qualifications

  • Above 10 years of working experience of Key Account Management in Transportation/Supply Chain/Logistics enterprise.

  • 2 years of experience in eCommerce industry

  • Microsoft Office applications

  • Provision in spoken and written English

Minimum Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor degree or above

  • MBA or masters or equivalent degree is preferred
