Join our team in CHICAGOfor a full-time position, starting as soon as possible.

As project manager, you will join the global innovation team at DHL, with Innovation Center locations in Cologne, Singapore and soon, Chicago. You will be working with DHL divisions, customers and partners to explore, develop and implement innovations that will shape the future of the logistics industry.

Your tasks

In your role, your main objectives are to initiate and drive innovation projects that accelerate DHL’s digitalization agenda and strengthens our relationships with key customers and partners.

Your main tasks will be to manage a portfolio of innovation projects which includes the management of both operational pilot projects as well as thought leadership initiatives.

You will apply your expertise to initiate and manage operational pilots leverage state-of-the-art technologies such as robotics, internet of things and artificial intelligence (see: You will be able to apply your unique creative skills to thought leadership initiatives which includes the publication of industry-leading trend reports (see:, support in driving DHL’s corporate accelerators and incubators (see:, and innovation events. Furthermore, you will be responsible for Trend Research content in the upcoming Innovation Center located in Chicago. This will require adapting global content to regional strategy and fostering a pipeline of new Trend Research showcases for the Innovation Center.

As part of the global Innovation Center team, you will also be required to actively engage with DHL’s key customers through events at the Innovation Centers and at regional conferences.

Your profile

¾Inspired, open-minded and outgoing in character with a passion for innovation and new technologies with preferably experience working in or with tech startups

¾Excellent BS/BA in related discipline and 8-11 years experience in related field OR MS/MA and generally 5-7 years experience in related field, preferably with a background in consultancy, business, logistics, engineering or technology

¾Fluent in English with excellent communication and writing skills; Spanish language skills would be an advantage

¾Excellent project management and interpersonal skills with high self-motivation and ability to work independently in an analytical and structured manner

¾Good communication skills with the ability to communicate a complex idea in a simple way and encourage people to adopt ideas

¾Ability to assess business cases and business processes with a talent for identifying innovation opportunities

¾International exposure and intercultural approach; willing to travel
