How does your challenge look like?

Due to growth of our business we are looking for a Ramp Duty Manager for the night shift to strengthen our working force. We expect the Ramp Duty Manager to plan, organize and control their teams within the Ramp operation of Brussels Hub in the most optimum and efficient manner in order to ensure that cost, productivity, service and quality targets are achieved.

What are your tasks?

Coordination and coaching of your respective teams, en ensure that all daily operational activities related to the ramp operations are managed.
Lead, guide, motivate and inspire your team and acts as a role model related to the values of the company.
Close cooperation with your colleague duty manager to ensure successful ramp operations within Brussels Hub.
Adhere to all relevant quality standards, mandatory audits and other legal compliance.
Respond with appropriate actions in special situations which may affect the service. If necessary, escalate issues to the proper contact and/or responsible manager.
Analyze reports to identify improvement opportunities.
Ensure cost control for your department.
Implement and execute tools for process improvement (GEMBA, First Choice, …).
Optimization of working processes in coordination with the whole team.
Comprehensive reporting.

Who are you?

You are strongly experienced in building and leading teams, and have a proven record in coaching and managing a team.
You have excellent customer orientation and business acumen.
You have good cross border and cross-department thinking skills.
You are well-versed in shaping direction, with an emphasis on strategic and provident thinking. Experience in project management.
You know how you can constructive challenge the status-quo in order to facilitate and promote change.
You are experienced in building and managing partnerships.
You have a high commitment to excel.
You are fluent in Dutch and English.
You have several years of operational DHL knowledge, and knowledge of the DHL Network, or you have similar people management experience in an operational environment.
