We are looking for a HR Business Partner to drive implementation of the HR strategy across the business.  Partner with customers to identify business led HR solutions that deliver commercial performance.  Provide leadership on the people aspects of business plans and provide input on people and organisational issues.
To be a key and active member of the business management team, contributing to and influencing the development of the business agenda and strategy, providing challenge and consulting support.
Identify how HR can best support the achievement of business aims, shaping and executing on the HR delivery plan. He / she will coordinate the countries under scope and to achieve a good relationship with UK region.

Key Responsabilities:

  • Play an active role within their leadership team, contributing to and influencing the implementation of the operating plan.
    Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with Countries HRBP´s and CoE’s.
    Build effective relationships with Unions and staff committees
    Champion business change and continuous improvement, leading and embedding business change plans in line with targets and initiatives
    Participate fully in key people related change decisions, anticipating and effectively dealing with any people issues
    Play an active role in employee engagement activities
    Understand local business context, issues and challenges to provide specific advice to Business Managers.  Deliver HR solutions as appropriate to enhance commercial performance
    Assist with the management of stakeholder and customer relationships during the bid process
  • Use nationally provided HR tools, processes and techniques to address local issues
    Proactively use People MI Reports to identify trends and patterns – bring these to management attention and ensure appropriate actions are taken to address issues early
    Advise, challenge, coach and support Managers in their role on people-related processes (e.g. performance management, personal and team development, career path implementation, resource planning and recruitment)
    Learning and Development
    Accurately translate the training needs of their business into requirements for the CoE and HRBP´s.
    Working with the HRBP´s to provide input to the Training Design team to identify and implement training priorities to support delivery of the business agenda.
    Talent and Resourcing
    Develop resourcing strategies to support the business and new business
    Support managers to identify and manage high performing / high potential individuals and ensure succession is in place for key positions
    Facilitate the identification of talent, key positions & succession plans at all levels
    Work with managers to identify future people requirements and act upon them – use the Motiv8 process to monitor and supervise relevant population
    Analyse trends and work with HRBP´s to manage resource forecasting and planning
    Delivery of HR services
    Deliver and implement HR policies and services consistently, working with HR Business Partners to co-ordinate across the Sectors.  Act as a role model for the HR function as a whole and lead in standardising processes
    Work with r HR Business Partner to ensure HR services, policies and processes are aligned to business needs and are business relevant and practical for implementation
    In conjunction with Managers, agree an HR business plan which aligns with business performance objectives and is measurable in terms of cost and quality effectiveness
    Protect DHL’s position as an employer e.g. competitor activity around Reward and Benefits and ensure DHL is seen as a competitive and attractive employer
    Identify continuous improvement opportunities across HR processes and procedures & escalate to Senior HR Business Partner
    Identify trends in IR/ER issues and work with CoE and HRBPs to design solutions
    Actively participate in new business process and support bid management process
    Responsible for the management and set up and completion of any TUPE related activity
    Support and manage new business wins from a people perspective and manage ER related issues
    Manage IR/ER issues escalated through the CoE
    Input into collective bargaining and collective disputes

    Generalist HR knowledge with experience working with: talent development and organisation design, employee relations, change and performance management and workforce planning / succession management.

Expected Experience:

  • Experience in international environment working with several countries under the scope.
    Developed customer and relationship management skills. 
    The ability to establish credibility and be able to influence at senior levels
    Developed networking skills, stakeholder engagement skills and negotiation skills
    Commercial and business acumen
    Understanding of the HR function and its processes and policies in order to advise on its capability to support business objectives, and be able to identify where to source appropriate specialist expertise
    Ability to advise Managers to deliver business strategy and drive performance and capability improvement within their teams
    Ability to identify & analyse trends from both business and HR management information
    Excellent facilitation skills
    Planning, project and change management skills
    Have self-belief in the value of HR and their personal ability to make a difference
    Have independence and the confidence to challenge positively

Educational Background:

  • Educated to degree standard - desirable
    CIPD or equivalent qualification or relevant HR experience at an appropriate level in a diverse organisation. 
    English level required: Bilingual
