DHL Inside Track in Alconbury are looking for a Body Shop Controller to manage our team of Body Shop Technicians. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the most well-known brands in the automotive world and state of the art vehicles.

You will operate a pivotal role within the technical operations division, controlling Body Shop activities and managing workloads for the technicians and ensuring targets and SLA’s are met. You will mentor and support the team to ensure they are developing their knowledge and motivated to provide the best service.

Other duties include:

  • Ensure Health & Safety Law, Company Policy and Safe Working Practices are adhered to.
  • Assess and monitor current requirements and appraise management of any potential shortfalls or concerns.
  • Forecast volumes and ensure the correct level of staff to meet volume requirements and reporting on productivity and measures being taken.

It is essential that you have a background in an automotive/motor trade Body shop environment. You will also have some team leadership or supervisory experience in a similar environment. A Body shop qualification or motor industry accreditation would be desirable for the successful candidates but it isn’t essential.

All we ask from you is that you have:

  • A good level of PC literacy.
  • Sound understanding of paint shop techniques (prepping, SMART repair, polishing & painting).
  • Estimating experience (this would be an advantage not essential).
